Terrier Update - August 21, 2020

Hello, Terriers!

On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, we will be welcoming students back to Litchfield Community Schools. In any school year, there is a great deal of planning and preparation that goes into a smooth and satisfying start to the school year. In this particular year, there has been a great deal more than usual. The good news is that things are going well and our staff is confident about meeting the challenges and excited about teaching your kids! Here are some things we can all do to assist our students in getting off to a strong, positive start to the school year:

Please fill out and return the enrollment packet that Mrs. Gilg sent to your home. We need to update the information for your student and prepare our schedules, class lists, and databases. Mrs. Gilg will be at the East door by the Superintendent Office this coming Monday from 4 pm to 7 pm to collect your packet or provide you with another if you need it. We will also have computer stations available if you would like to fill things out online while Mrs. Gilg is there to help you.

Another thing you can do is to go to our school website. There is an enrollment page that will allow you to declare whether you prefer In-Person or Virtual learning for your student, whether or not you will need Bussing for your student, and several other simple questions. This information will help us plan to provide the best educational opportunity possible for your student.

For details about what you can expect this coming year, please go to our school website to read our Covid 19 Preparedness and Response Plan. It has information regarding instruction, cleaning and sanitation, transportation, and protocols provided to us by the Health Department for screening for and managing any infections in our school. If you have any worries about the safety or rights of your family members, please call me  (Mike Corey) on my personal cell #, 517-250-2220. Or - you can text me at that same number and we will get together and talk things over.

And as Always,

GO TERRIERS!!!
